Private Medical Reps. prohibited from visiting Government Hospitals

The Health Ministry has informed that the medical representatives of the drug importing companies are prohibited from visiting hospitals run by the Government.

 

The medical representatives of the private companies visit the hospitals and give pressure to medical officers encouraging them to buy their products. Hence, the Ministry has decided to ban their entry into hospital premises with effort from January 2008.
