Steps to put up roads and bridges in the East

New bridges are to be constructed and 230 roads are to be reconstructed in the east under the eastern reawakening project, said the Urban Development Authority chairman, M.D.S. Fernando.

 

The 2500 metre Oddamavady Bridge is to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 700 million with the financial aid from Spain. The 63-kilo meter road from Navalady junction to Thirukkonamadu in Batticaloa is to be reconstructed with Rs. 1400 million from the World Bank.
