Large number of LTTE cadres killed

More than 30 LTTE cadres and a soldier were killed during separate clashes between the troops and LTTE.
20 LTTE cadres were killed in a confrontation in the Mullikulam area of Mannar district on the last Monday.
8 LTTE cadres were killed in a clash at Vilathikulam. A soldier was killed and 7 others were injured in this clash. Bodies of the 7 LTTE women cadres killed in this battle are to be handed over to the LTTE.
4 LTTE cadres were killed in a battle at Muhamalai forward defence line. 6 T 56 rifles and PGM rifles were recovered during a search operation launched in this area by the troops after the clash, said the information centre for national security.
