image Rs. 10 million was allocated through the Samurdhy authority to construct Samurdhy Banks and Maha Sangam buildings in the Batticaloa district, said the Samurdhy Deputy Director of Batticaloa District, P Gunaratnam.

This money will be utilized for the Central Samurdhi Bank building at Eravur, Valaichenai, uncompleted works in the Vavunativu - Kattankudy area and Manmunai north. 29 Samurdhy banks are operating in the 14 DS divisions of the Batticaloa District.
