Basic measures have been finalised says Election

The Assistant Election Commissioners of the
Trincomalee, Batticaloa and Ampara districts say basic
measures have already been finalized to hold the
eastern provincial council election successfully.
The political parties and the independent groups have
intensified the election propaganda campaign as it is
to conclude by mid night tomorrow.

Post Master General M.K.B Dissanayake says
distribution of poll cards has been completed by now.
The cards were dispatched by post from 21st April to
2nd of this month. He said persons who do not receive
their poll cards should go to the nearest post office,
establish their identity and collect their poll cards.
