5 TN fishermen detained in Lanka

RAMANATHAPURAM: Five fishermen from Rameswaram were detained by the Sri Lankan navy for crossing the IMBL and lodged in the Jaffna prison.

The five, Franklin, Nagarajan, Palsamy, Antony Royappan and Kumar of Pamban, had set out for fishing in a country boat on April 4. They were detained by the Lankan Navy while fishing near Katchativu.

They were produced before the Mannar court which remanded them in Jaffna prison.
