Parties of United Peoples’ Freedom Alliance assured that they will contest under UPFA

The parties of United Peoples’ Freedom Alliance assured that they will contest under UPFA ticket in the forthcoming Eastern Provincial Council Election.
A special discussion on the procedure to contest this election was held yesterday among the respective parties. The discussion took place at parliamentary complex. Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva presided the meeting. The leaders of the coalition parties participated in this discussion. The Secretary General of EPDP Minister Douglas Devananda and the Muslim political parties representing the eastern province also were present at the meeting.
Sri Lanka Muslim Congress also participated in this discussion. The decision of SLMC will be announced tomorrow. Therefore, Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva said another special discussion will be held tomorrow in this regard.
