Communication sets uncovered

On information received from the civilian sources, Police personnel in Valachenai Police station uncovered a claymore mine, AP mines and few other war-like items during a search operation conducted in the area yesterday, March 23.

The recovery includes Claymore mines ,Wire  ,82 (F) Rifles ,Mines  ,T-56 magazines and
T-56 live rounds .

Meanwhile, in a separate search operation conducted at Palugamam in Batticaloa, troops uncovered a radio communication equipment and few other items .

 Further, Media Centre for National Security said that a hand tractor was also uncovered by Troops during a search operation conducted at KUSALANAI in the BATTICALOA area .
