35 LTTE cadres killed

 35 terrorists were killed in several confrontations yesterday (18) in WELIOYA, VAVUNIYA, JAFFNA and MANNAR: An LTTE terrorist was killed in Army attack in KOKKUTHUDUWAI in WELIOYA yesterday (18) around 11.25 a.m.

In the same area, 02 terrorists were killed in Army attacks on a LTTE strong point around 11.30. a.m. Around 3.15 pm. In the same location one terrorist was killed in an encounter with Army troops.

In ANDANKULAM, WELIOYA three terrorists were killed in an Army attack around 12.15 p.m.

An LTTE terrorist was killed in a confrontation with Army troops in MUHAMALAI, JAFFNA yesterday (18) around 3.30. p.m.

An LTTE terrorist was killed in an encounter with Army troops in THIRUKETHISWARAN, VAVUNIYA yesterday (18) around 8.35. a.m.

Four soldiers were wounded in an mortar attack by LTTE in KARAMPEKULAM, VAVUNIYA yesterday (18) around 3.55 p.m.

Intercepted communication has confirmed that four terrorists were killed when Army troops launched artillery fire at a location where terrorists gathered in RAMANADANKULAM, VAVUNIYA yesterday (18) around 12.35 p.m.

Three terrorists were killed when Army troops attacked LTTE cadres in KARAMPEKULAM, VAVUNIYA yesterday (18) around 10.40 a.m. Four terrorists were killed in Army attack in PANDIVIRICHCHAN, VAVUNIYA yesterday (18) around 3.30 p.m.

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Army troops in PARAYANAKULAM, MANNAR yesterday (18) around 9.15 a.m. One soldier was also injured.

One terrorist was killed in an encounter with troops in ADAMPAN, MANNAR yesterday (18) around 10.00 a.m. One soldier died in an encounter with LTTE in MUNKIRIMURICHCHIKULAM, yesterday around 8.25 a.m. Two terrorists were killed in confrontation with Army troops in PARAYANAKULAM yesterday (18) around 11.10 a.m. A terrorist was killed in confrontation with Army troops in MUNKIRIMURICHCHIKULAM yesterday around 2.54 p.m.

Five terrorists were killed in confrontations that took place in PARAYANAKULAM, MANNAR from 10.50 p.m. on March 17 to wee hours the following morning (18). Eleven soldiers were injured.

A soldier died when the LTTE terrorists exploded an improvised explosive devise   yesterday (18) around 6.15 a.m.
