Eight civilians escape from terrorist areas

 Eight (08) Tamil civilians who were residents the LTTE terrorists controlled area in ILLUPAKADAVALI area MANNAR had escaped from the terrorists and reported to the Police and the Sri Lanka Navy in the PALLIMUNAI area, MANNAR around 8.00 in the morning yesterday (14). They consisted of six males (aged 63, 46, 27, 21, 19 and 16 years) and two females aged 19 and 40 years.

According to them they had been forced to leave their homes where they had lived for many years and had escaped to the Security Forces seeking protection as they were undergoing severe hardship and harassment as a result of terrorist activities.
