475 LTTE terrorists were killed

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara says 475 LTTE terrorists were killed in confrontations with the security forces during the last 12 days.
In a media briefing held in Colombo today, the Brigadier said military operations against terrorists in Muhamalai, Wanni, Mannar, and Welioya have been intensified.
39 security personnel were also killed and 178 wounded during this period. 39 civilians were killed and 170 wounded in the attacks of the LTTE.

Speaking at the media briefing government’s defence spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said security has been tightened in important places of the country.
