Several bills before Parliament today

The Labours’ employment termination amendment bill, the industrial disputes bill and several provisions of the industrial disputes bill were taken up for debate in parliament today. Minister Athauda Seneviratne presented the Bills.

MP Wimal Weerawansa making a special statement said the LTTE’s recent attacks on civilians depict the miserable situation which they have been pushed in. Their suicide attackers who used to target VIPs are now targeting unarmed innocent civilians. Mr. Weerawansa said the whole country should act for the cause of eliminating LTTE terrorists.

Minister Susil Premajayantha said the new circular which was formulated based on the guidelines of the supreme court on  Grade one admission will be issued today.
